The Surasak man (last name reserved) reported his abusive actions to the police yesterday. A 40-year-old man confessed to police that he strangled his ex-wife until she passed out because she refused to have sex with him.

Officers arrived at Surasaka's home in Fon Tong sub-district in Isaan Kalasin province and found his wife, 39-year-old Sarika (surname reserved), lying on a bed with a bloody mouth.

Surasak told the police that he had a strong desire to have sex, so he sneaked into his wife's room. She refused and angered him, lost control of herself, and so he strangled her.

Surasak said that he was with his wife for seven years, but after a serious quarrel, he decided to leave and slept in a separate room.
